About the Center

The community center sits on the location of the old Rural Ridge School in Indiana Township PA. In need of major repair, it was owned by the Fox Chapel School district and was left vacant. The property was purchased by the developer of the Rural Ridge Estates to provide access to the new housing plan being developed. On December 27th, 2001 the building and grounds were donated to Indiana Township to be developed as a Community Center for Rural Ridge and the surrounding communities.

On July 31, 2002 Kevin Brozek, District Supervisor and local champion of the community center project passed away. His dream of having a community center for Rural Ridge was finally realized in 2007 when the site was opened to the public.

Currently the community center provides programs for Rural Ridge and the surrounding communities.
